Step into a dynamic role supporting students from Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade across two welcoming school sites near Sylmar, CA. This full-time contract opportunity allows you to provide vital speech-language services during the current academic year (CSY), extended school year (ESY), and next school year (NSY). Split your week with two days at one campus and three days at another, diving into a variety of student needs in a supportive educational environment.
You’ll have the chance to work with a diverse caseload, including children with mild articulation challenges, mild to moderate disabilities involving language deficits, and students using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). School 1 follows a 7:45am–3:15pm schedule, while School 2 operates from 8:15am–3:45pm, providing variety and balance to your week.
Desired Background:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure/certification in California
- Experience in school settings, supporting students from Pre K through middle school
- Proficiency with assessment and intervention for mild-moderate language disorders, articulation, and AAC
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Flexibility to thrive across elementary and early secondary age groups
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and deliver therapy to students TK–6
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to diverse needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Maintain progress documentation and comply with all reporting requirements
- Support students’ communication in both push-in and pull-out formats as appropriate
This position begins as soon as possible, with the current school year running through June 11. You’re welcome to extend into summer ESY (June 17–July 17) and return for the 26/27 academic year starting August 5, if you’d like a longer-term commitment.
