Middle School Certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Sylmar, CA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting Pre K through 6th grade students at two welcoming schools near Sylmar, CA. This position is ideal for certified Speech-Language Pathologists who are licensed to work with elementary and middle school populations. You'll serve a diverse caseload featuring students with mild articulation challenges, mild to moderate language deficits, and some with AAC needs.

This full-time opportunity runs across the current school year, ESY, and into the next academic year if desired. Your week will be split between two school sites—spending two days at one campus (workday: 7:45am–3:15pm) and three days at the other (workday: 8:15am–3:45pm). Start immediately and finish the school year on June 11th, extend through the summer session from June 17th (students start June 22) until July 17th, and continue into the next school year beginning August 5th if you wish.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current state licensure and SLP certification required
• Previous experience working with Pre K–6th grade populations strongly preferred
• Competence in supporting mild articulation disorders and mild-to-moderate language deficits
• Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies is a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary and middle school students
• Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to a range of student needs, from mild to moderate
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote student success
• Maintain accurate records and document student progress
• Adapt interventions for students using AAC devices as appropriate
