Step into a dynamic contract-to-hire role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2024-2025 school year in East Syracuse, NY. This exciting position offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload across all grade levels, spanning Kindergarten through 12th grade. You'll collaborate with a dedicated educational team to make a measurable difference in students’ academic and communicative success.
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current New York state licensure or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellowship candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience or strong interest in working with school-age populations (K-12 preferred)
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and ARD/IEP meetings
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing diagnostic and therapeutic services tailored to students' individual communication needs
- Participating in IEP meetings and working closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Documenting evaluations and maintaining comprehensive records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Implementing evidence-based interventions for both individuals and groups
- Promoting communication development in classroom settings, and offering consultation or support to staff as needed
- Staying current with state and federal regulations and practices in school-based speech-language therapy
