Speech Language Pathologist in Syracuse, NY

Step into a dynamic contract-to-hire role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2024-2025 school year in East Syracuse, NY. This exciting position offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload across all grade levels, spanning Kindergarten through 12th grade. Desired skills and qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current New York state licensure or eligibility
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellowship candidates encouraged to apply
• Experience or strong interest in working with school-age populations (K-12 preferred)
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and ARD/IEP meetings
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing diagnostic and therapeutic services tailored to students' individual communication needs
• Participating in IEP meetings and working closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists
• Documenting evaluations and maintaining comprehensive records in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Implementing evidence-based interventions for both individuals and groups
• Promoting communication development in classroom settings, and offering consultation or support to staff as needed
• Staying current with state and federal regulations and practices in school-based speech-language therapy
