Step into a rewarding role supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. Based in a vibrant and scenic part of Upstate New York, this contract opportunity spans September through June, focusing primarily on elementary students, with some high school involvement.
Your expertise will guide a diverse caseload of approximately 28 students as you assess, create, and deliver individualized interventions—helping children thrive academically and socially. Collaboration is at the heart of this position, with opportunities to partner with educators, staff, and families to ensure student growth and inclusive success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed speech and language evaluations, building targeted therapy plans
- Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions tailored to student goals
- Work in partnership with teachers to adapt learning environments and materials
- Track progress meticulously, adjusting supports as necessary
- Take an active role in IEP meetings with input on goal-setting and student advocacy
- Serve as a resource for parents and caregivers, fostering strong home-school connections
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one prior to the start date
- Preference for experience supporting school-aged children
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
- Understanding of IEP processes and school-based speech therapy
