A contract Speech-Language Pathologist position is now available for the 2025–2026 school year, set within a welcoming K-12 environment near Syracuse, NY. This role primarily serves elementary school students, with opportunities to support high schoolers as well. Enjoy the beauty of Upstate New York while supporting students’ communication growth throughout the school year, September to June.

As a vital member of the educational community, you will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students. Your work will focus on conducting thorough assessments, providing evidence-based therapy, and collaborating with dedicated educators and families to foster an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations; develop individualized therapy plans
  • Deliver direct services tailored to each student’s goals and needs
  • Partner with teachers to support accommodations and modifications in the classroom
  • Track student progress and refine interventions as needed for optimal outcomes
  • Take part in IEP meetings, contributing insight and expertise in goal setting
  • Offer guidance to parents and caregivers, fostering a supportive community

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current state SLP license or eligibility to become licensed
  • Experience working with school-age children is a plus
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based special education
