School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Syracuse, New York

An exciting opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist is available in a K-12 educational setting near Syracuse, NY. This contract role covers the 2025–2026 academic year, from September to June, with the primary caseload encompassing elementary students and a smaller group of high schoolers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
• Deliver direct speech-language therapy to support student progress
• Collaborate closely with teachers and staff on accommodations and educational modifications
• Regularly monitor and document student growth, adjusting interventions where necessary
• Participate meaningfully in IEP meetings, helping shape student objectives
• Communicate proactively with parents and caregivers, providing guidance and resources

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active or eligible state SLP license
• Prior experience with school-aged children is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with IEP processes and relevant legal frameworks in education
