Make a difference this school year by supporting elementary students through your expertise in speech-language pathology. An immediate opportunity is open near Tacoma, WA, where your skills will be valued in a welcoming, student-focused environment as you help complete the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year—with the possibility of extending into summer services. You’ll join a collaborative team providing high-impact remote/virtual learning support to a caseload of 38 elementary students, working a full-time, 37.5-hour week. The district is eager to interview and hire quickly to ensure a seamless transition for students in need.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current Washington SLP credentials or eligibility
  • ASHA CCCs preferred; strong CFs considered
  • Previous schools-based SLP experience is a plus, as is confidence with teletherapy/remote instruction platforms
  • Adaptable, tech-savvy, and comfortable navigating virtual learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging speech-language services via remote/virtual platform to elementary-aged students
  • Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to support student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation, progress reports, and data collection
  • Participate in IEP meetings, even in a virtual context, to coordinate services and advocate for student needs
