School Speech Language Pathologist - Tacoma, WA

A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a contract role supporting elementary students for the remainder of the 2019/2020 school year. This role serves a caseload of 38 elementary students and is full time at 37.5 hours per week, with the possibility to extend through summer for compensatory services. The assignment is remote/virtual for now, with flexibility for on-site or teletherapy approaches as district needs evolve. Candidates with strong technical skills who can quickly adapt to virtual service delivery are especially encouraged to apply.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Valid state SLP license and ASHA CCC-SLP (or eligibility)
• Familiarity with schools-based SLP services and IEP documentation
• Adaptability to remote/virtual platforms for service delivery
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to engage and motivate young learners in a remote setting
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students
• Develop and implement IEPs, maintain accurate records, and track progress
• Collaborate remotely with educational teams, teachers, and families
• Provide support, consultation, and resources to staff and parents as needed
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings and team consultations
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for speech therapy services
