Step into a rewarding contract role serving elementary students near Tacoma, WA. This full-time position runs from September through November, covering a maternity leave. As a speech-language professional, you will make a meaningful impact helping young learners reach their communication and academic goals.
You’ll work with a manageable caseload of 44-50 elementary students, conducting therapy and evaluations in a collaborative school setting. Whether you are an SLP (CCC) or an SLPA, your skills will be valued as you support students’ speech and language development during an important phase of their school year.
Qualifications:
- Active license as an SLP (with CCC preferred) or SLPA in Washington
- Experience working with elementary-aged children strongly desired
- Knowledge of IEPs, therapy planning, and progress documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small-group speech and language therapy
- Complete assessments and evaluations for eligibility and progress
- Develop, implement, and update IEP goals in coordination with other educators
- Participate in student support and intervention teams as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and outcomes
- Communicate progress and recommendations to families and educational staff
