School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Tacoma, Washington

Make a significant impact in students’ lives as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist working in the vibrant Tacoma, WA area. This contract position offers a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) from ASAP through June 2027, supporting both elementary and middle school students in a dynamic educational setting.

You’ll join a collaborative team dedicated to delivering high-quality speech and language services, working with a diverse caseload split between elementary and middle grade levels. Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid SLP license in the state of Washington (or eligibility to obtain)
• Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
• Previous experience in a school-based setting with elementary and/or middle school students
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to diverse student needs and IEP goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and deliver direct therapy services
• Manage a mixed caseload (elementary and middle school)
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
