Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Tacoma, WA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Current Washington state SLP license required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong CFs may be considered
• Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly valued
• Proven ability to collaborate with students, families, and school staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students with diverse needs
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and monitor student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support students’ IEP goals
• Maintain accurate records and document all services provided in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
• Offer guidance and resources to educators and parents to support student success
