Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Active state licensure or eligibility as an SLP in Alabama
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children, preferably in educational settings
  • Comfortable conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and providing direct therapy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and parents
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality direct therapy services to students with a range of speech and language needs
  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to determine students’ communication strengths and areas of growth
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, and families to support student goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and session records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
  • Provide consultation and training to school staff on effective communication strategies and accommodations
