Experience and Skills Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- State licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of evaluation methods and therapy for students with a wide variety of communication needs, including non-verbal
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for IEP collaboration, documentation, and parent communication
- Adaptable attitude and commitment to supporting diverse learners across K-12 grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Provide both direct and consultative services in accordance with IEP goals
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Adapt materials and strategies to support non-verbal and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) users
- Manage caseload within 1-2 school buildings, maintaining thorough and timely documentation
