Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current Virginia SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong consideration for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- Prior experience with elementary-aged students is a plus
- Solid collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide intervention for speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-aged children
- Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) alongside teachers, families, and school teams
- Deliver individualized and classroom-based therapy services tailored to student needs
- Provide comprehensive documentation, maintain progress records, and adhere to state and federal guidelines
- Contribute actively during IEP meetings and work collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary support teams
