A welcoming learning environment near Tappahannock, VA seeks an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to work with a diverse and engaged caseload of 20 students. This full-time opportunity runs from August 10, 2026, through May 20, 2027, offering 37.5 hours per week of meaningful work with young learners who are excited to connect and develop their skills.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Experience in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged students
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement targeted interventions based on student IEPs

What you’ll do:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for a caseload of 20 elementary students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other support staff
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to foster language development and communication skills
  • Monitor and document student progress; prepare reports and maintain detailed records
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to shape student goals
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for effective communication within the school community
