Step into an engaging opportunity to provide impactful speech-language services for students across K-8th grade, primarily focusing on the K-5 age group. This contract position offers an ideal schedule, with 20-25 hours per week from approximately 8:30 AM–1:30 PM, four days each week. Built-in time is included for planning and participating in meetings, ensuring you have space for both student engagement and professional collaboration.
In this role, you’ll manage a manageable caseload of 25–30 students, most of whom present with mild speech and language needs, with one or two requiring moderate support. Your expertise will be essential in conducting speech evaluations and actively participating in IEP meetings, providing input that shapes individualized support for each student. Your days will be dynamic, with a blend of direct services, documentation, and collaborative work with educational staff and families.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid SC licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP), required
- Prior experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Proficient in administering speech/language assessments and writing reports
- Comfort working with K-8 students (with emphasis on K-5)
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Must be available for on-site work; this opportunity is not open to virtual providers, Clinical Fellows, or SLPAs
