Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state SLP license and certification required
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Comfortable working with students at various grade levels: elementary, middle, and high school
  • Expertise in 1:1 therapy techniques, as well as small group interventions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators
  • Knowledge of IEP process and ability to write clear, relevant documentation
  • Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, multi-grade environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Conduct initial assessments, screenings, and ongoing evaluations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration sessions
  • Consult regularly with classroom teachers and families to ensure generalization of skills
  • Support students individually and in group settings to foster communication growth
