Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active or eligible SLP state licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Familiarity with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices a strong asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop rapport with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students
- Maintain and manage a caseload of approximately 50 students, ensuring individualized care
- Implement and monitor therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ IEP goals
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and re-evaluations, documenting progress
- Incorporate AAC devices in therapy sessions for eligible students
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
