Elementary School Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist

A welcoming elementary school district in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a current full-time opening. Previous experience working with children is preferred but not required for this school-based teletherapy position. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses of speech, language, voice, fluency, and hearing disorders.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs, including language development, articulation, social communication, and fluency.

  • Collaborate virtually with classroom teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to support student success.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and IEP compliance.

  • Provide virtual services in a K-5 elementary school setting with a diverse student population.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric environment is preferred but not required.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

  • Previous virtual or teletherapy experience preferred.

Education:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License or eligibility for licensure.

  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate School Support Personnel endorsement may be required.

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.

Employment Type:

Full-time, Contract

Work Hours:

8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 37.5 hours per week
