Key Responsibilities

• Provide virtual individual and group counseling services to students
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings and student support planning
• Assist with crisis intervention, behavior support, and resource coordination
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records
• Help students develop coping strategies, self-advocacy skills, and positive social-emotional skills

Qualifications

• Active Michigan School Social Worker credential/certification
• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Knowledge of special education processes, IEPs, and student support services
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Comfortable providing services through a virtual platform
