Providing specialized speech-language therapy services through virtual platforms, this role focuses on supporting students across multiple elementary and magnet schools. Responsibilities involve delivering both therapy and conducting evaluations while managing caseloads that do not exceed 60 students. Work hours are set at 37.5 per week, and the contract extends through May 27, 2027.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting speech-language therapy sessions via telepractice to support individual student needs
  • Administering comprehensive speech and language evaluations
  • Collaborating with educational professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
  • Ensuring compliance with state certification requirements and professional standards

Qualifications and experience sought:

  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathology Educator Certificate or eligibility to obtain pending certification
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based speech-language pathology, including teletherapy services
  • Ability to manage caseloads effectively and deliver individualized interventions
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with virtual therapy platforms

Locations served virtually include multiple schools such as Crump Elementary, Dannelly Elementary, and Flowers Elementary, among others, ensuring diverse student populations and varied caseload experiences.
