A contract position is available for a Virtual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support homebound students through teletherapy for a virtual school setting in Fort Myers, FL. This role focuses on delivering specialized speech-language services remotely, providing tailored support for students who require virtual intervention.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting virtual speech therapy sessions with students using teletherapy platforms.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs.
  • Collaborating with educational staff and families to support student progress.
  • Tracking and reporting student outcomes to ensure compliance with program goals.
  • Maintaining required documentation and adhering to privacy regulations and licensing guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Florida teacher certification and/or active Florida Department of Health Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Experience or familiarity with telespeech or teletherapy service delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload remotely.
  • Completion of fingerprinting for Florida school district credentialing, with clearance through the AHCA Clearinghouse or willingness to complete new fingerprints.

Position details:

  • Location: Fort Myers, Florida (Remote service delivery).
  • Schedule: Part-time, 2 days per week, 7.5 hours per day (15 hours total weekly).
  • Contract duration: August 11, 2026 – May 27, 2027.
  • Supporting: Lee Virtual School, working with students served in a virtual capacity.
