A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in telespeech and teletherapy is needed for contract work supporting school-based services in the Gaithersburg, MD area. This role focuses on providing remote speech therapy services within an educational setting, serving students across varying age groups. The position requires careful caseload management, with elementary caseloads up to 40 students and middle school caseloads reaching up to 48, peaking at 57 students later in the school year. Assignments and specific caseloads will be tailored based on individual skillsets and geographic location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech-language pathology services via teletherapy to school-aged children.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans appropriate for diverse student needs.
- Manage caseloads effectively, maintaining progress notes and reports in compliance with educational guidelines.
- Collaborate with supervisors and educational personnel to align therapy goals with academic objectives.
- Adhere strictly to all licensing and credentialing requirements, including scheduling and passing necessary screenings and background checks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland SLP licensure is mandatory.
- Minimum of three years post-COVID virtual school-based speech therapy experience, with at least two years within the last five years.
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
- Strong familiarity with teletherapy platforms and digital documentation systems.
- Ability to manage workload within a 35-hour workweek on a part-time schedule (three full days weekly), with availability during Eastern Standard Time hours.

- Professional references, including comments from directors or supervisors.
- Clearance of House Bill background check.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Contract term runs from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027.
