A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services within a school setting. This full-time role involves delivering remote speech therapy services for students, with a focus on telepractice methodologies to support communication development.
Location: Gretna, LA (New Orleans area)
Contract Period: August 3, 2026 – May 27, 2027
Schedule: 35 hours per week, typically 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
Assignment: Specific caseload and number of schools to be assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services through teletherapy to students within the school district.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Collaborate with educators and related personnel to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state regulations.
- Complete necessary district HR credentialing forms promptly.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state license to practice as an SLP.
- ASHA Certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence - CCC-SLP) required.
- Experience or willingness to work in a telespeech/teletherapy format preferred.
Additional Information:
Offers are contingent on the school board’s renewal of the contract during the June 3, 2026 meeting. This contingency will be included in the contract’s miscellaneous section.
