A contracted Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide telespeech and teletherapy services, supporting school-aged children in Hyattsville, MD. This role involves virtual service delivery within the Eastern Standard Time zone, adhering to state licensure and district requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology teletherapy services to students across varying age groups, including elementary and middle school levels.
- Manage caseloads efficiently, with a range from 40 to 57 students at peak periods.
- Collaborate with supervisors to tailor caseloads based on individual skill sets and geographic preferences.
- Maintain compliance with all credentialing and background check requirements.
- Utilize best practices in virtual school-based speech therapy, with an emphasis on post-pandemic adaptations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Maryland.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in virtual school-based speech therapy, with at least two years within the past five years.
- Demonstrated ability to manage substantial caseloads across multiple grade levels.
- Strong communication and organizational skills suitable for remote service delivery.
- Ability to provide documentation including resume, licensure images, and professional references.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Contract position with a start date in late August and conclusion in mid-June.
- Approximately 35 hours per week, structured as three full workdays.
- Service delivered remotely to students in the Maryland and Washington, DC areas, specifically on Eastern Standard Time.
Additional Information:
- Compliance with state-specific credentialing and background checks is required.
