A remote opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential speech-language services in a school-based environment. This 0.5 FTE contract position spans the full school year and supports a caseload of approximately 30 students. This role is structured as a 1099 independent contractor position, offering flexibility and autonomy while delivering impactful services to students.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct and consultative speech-language therapy aligned with students’ IEP needs
  • Conducting initial and reevaluation assessments, and preparing evaluation reports
  • Developing, writing, and updating Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining comprehensive documentation
  • Participating in IEP, eligibility, and school team meetings
  • Collaborating with educators, special education staff, families, and other service providers
  • Supervising and providing clinical guidance to an SLPA
  • Ensuring compliance with state licensure and special education standards
  • Effectively communicating with the school team and clinical support staff

Qualifications sought for this role:

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license for the applicable state
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or required as applicable
  • Experience in school-based evaluations, IEP development, and SLPA supervision preferred
  • Strong skills in communication, organization, and documentation
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual setting
