A virtual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide teletherapy services supporting homebound students through an innovative virtual school program in Fort Myers, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver virtual speech-language therapy sessions to students enrolled in the Lee Virtual School.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to create effective treatment plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements.
  • Participate in relevant meetings and professional development as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Florida teacher certification and/or an active Florida Department of Health SLP license.
  • Experience with teletherapy or telespeech services preferred.
  • Ability to support a diverse caseload primarily consisting of homebound students.
  • Completion of fingerprinting per Florida school district regulations, including verification through the AHCA Clearinghouse if applicable.
  • Knowledge of JLA badge application or transfer process in Florida.

Position Details:

  • Location: Virtual services supporting students residing in Fort Myers, FL.
  • Contract Length: August 11, 2026 through May 27, 2027.
  • Schedule: Part-time, 2 days per week, approximately 7.5 hours per day (15 hours total weekly).
  • Caseload specifics will be determined but focus on homebound student support.
