Virtual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - ME

A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist skilled in teletherapy to provide services in a school setting located in Rumford, ME. This role involves part-time work totaling approximately 3.5 hours per week of direct speech and language instruction, along with additional consultation and assessment duties.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering weekly direct speech-language instruction and/or group sessions focused on individualized student needs, including supporting a first-grade student on the autism spectrum with emerging verbal skills.
• Conducting parent and staff consultations for 2 hours each month to discuss progress and strategies.
• Completing four speech assessment triennials throughout the contract period.
• Collaborating with educational staff and one full-time support technician assigned to the student, ensuring cohesive support.
• Utilizing teletherapy platforms effectively to engage students in a virtual learning environment.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Proficiency and experience in telepractice for speech-language pathology services.
• Familiarity with providing speech therapy in school settings.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate parent and staff consultations.
• Ability to tailor therapy schedules flexibly to meet provider and client needs.

The schedule is adaptable; the 3.5 hours of weekly direct instruction can be provided in one session or spread over multiple days. Flexibility with scheduling adjustments is offered throughout the contract to accommodate provider availability or shifts in client needs.
