Virtual Speech Language Pathologist in WA

A remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the full school year on a 0.5 FTE basis. This 1099 independent contractor role involves supporting approximately 30 students through telepractice speech-language services. The position offers the flexibility of working from home while maintaining engagement in a school-based setting.

Key responsibilities include providing direct and consultative speech-language therapy, conducting initial and reevaluation assessments, and developing IEPs aligned with student needs. The role requires monitoring student progress, maintaining thorough documentation, and participating in IEP, eligibility, and school team meetings. Collaboration with educators, special education staff, families, and related-service providers is essential. Additionally, supervision and clinical guidance of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is part of the role to ensure quality service delivery. Compliance with state licensure and special education regulations must be upheld throughout the assignment.

Qualifications for this position include a current Speech-Language Pathologist license valid in the state, a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) as applicable. Experience in school-based evaluations, IEP development, and SLPA supervision is preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently in a virtual environment.

This role provides a manageable caseload and flexibility linked to independent contracting, complemented by dedicated clinical and recruiter support before and during the assignment. Remote onboarding and professional resources further strengthen the working experience.
