A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) certification to provide services in an elementary school setting. This position involves supporting students with speech and language needs, emphasizing articulation and language therapy, including work with students utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
Assignment Details:
- Contract term: August 24, 2026, through December 18, 2026
- Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week
- Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
- Student caseload: Typically ranges between 45 and 50 students
- Leave coverage: FMLA leave assignment
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy services primarily focused on articulation and language development
- Working with students who use AAC systems to support communication goals
- Collaborating with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to create and implement individualized therapy plans
- Documenting student progress and conducting evaluations as required
Qualifications and preferred experience:
- Valid SLP licensure with CCC or currently in CFY status
- Experience working in pediatric and school settings
- Ability to conduct teletherapy services, if needed
- Strong skills in articulation, language development, and AAC implementation
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
