Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting serving children from PreK through 2nd grade, with a select group of middle schoolers included in your caseload. This contract opportunity starts as soon as possible and continues through May 21, with a strong chance for renewal into future school years.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active SLP license for Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress
- Experience with pediatrics and/or school-based therapy is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to working with children and educators
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
- Deliver direct therapy services to a diverse caseload spanning PreK-2nd grade and some middle school students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students’ communication goals in the classroom
- Document progress, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the developmental and educational needs of students
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations relevant to school-based speech therapy
