This full-time, contract opportunity provides the chance to work with a dynamic and collaborative team, delivering services to a diverse preschool caseload. You'll find yourself making a difference for children with mostly mild-to-moderate needs, alongside a smaller group requiring more intensive support—including those utilizing AAC devices.
Ideal candidates bring expertise in school-based SLP practice and a passion for early intervention. Experience with California Medicaid (Paradigm) billing is valued, and a current Certificate of Clearance (COC) is required for consideration.
Qualifications:
- Current SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Previous experience in a school setting supporting preschool students
- Familiarity with AAC devices and alternative communication methods
- Experience using California Medicaid (Paradigm) preferred
- Active COC (Certificate of Clearance)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and deliver therapy for preschool-aged students with diverse speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop individual and group intervention plans tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student progress
- Document progress, maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Provide training and resources to staff and families regarding AAC devices and therapeutic strategies
