Speech-Language Pathologists are needed to join a collaborative team providing dedicated services within a supportive educational environment. These contract positions offer full-time hours from August 2026 through June 2027 across the East and Southern regions of the district.
With flexibility regarding caseload preference and district supervision available, you will work closely with educators and families to address a diverse range of student needs. Candidates seeking their Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CF) are welcomed, as strong mentorship and supervision are provided. Please note, SLPAs are not being considered at this time.
Ideal candidates demonstrate compassion, adaptability, and experience working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and significant cognitive disabilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid North Carolina SLP license (required)
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CF (with supervision available)
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Experience with students with ASD and low cognitive functioning highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct and consultative therapy services to a caseload of up to 35 students
- Completing assessments, progress reports, and IEP documentation in a timely manner
- Collaborating with special education staff and classroom teachers
- Communicating progress and recommendations with families and school staff
- Participating in IEP meetings and supporting data-driven decision making
