Speech Therapist in Thornton, CO

A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school in Thornton, CO. This short-term contract runs from March 19, 2026, through May 22, 2026, supporting students within the Adams 12 School District in the Denver area. The role is designed to serve elementary-age children and welcomes Clinical Fellowship Candidates. Note that Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are not eligible for this assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language evaluations, individual and group therapy sessions to elementary students
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Active Speech Language Pathologist licensure
• Valid Colorado Department of Education certification for SLP in schools
• Experience or education relevant to school-based therapy preferred
• Ability to work full-time hours (35+ per week) on-site at the assigned school
• Strong communication and organizational skills
