Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Current New Mexico Speech Language Pathologist license
  • New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) certification
  • SLP-CCC certification required
  • Background in school-based speech therapy, with knowledge of elementary school caseloads
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Collaborative approach to working with school teams, caregivers, and outside agencies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to elementary students
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as a vital team member
  • Coordinate care with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individual treatment plans
  • Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations
  • Maintain detailed records, documentation, and progress reports in compliance with district and state regulations
