Make a difference supporting students' communication growth in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time, contracted opportunity spans the entire school year and offers experience working with a diverse range of student ages. The assignment is based near Tinley Park, IL, covering two locations:

  • Shabonna Elementary (K-3) with a caseload of 49 students.
  • Liberty Intermediate (4-6) and Bourbonnais Upper Grade Center (7-8) with a combined caseload of 53 students.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for helping children and adolescents reach their full potential. Collaborative and engaging, this setting allows you to deliver both on-site and remote therapy services while working alongside dedicated educators and families.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants encouraged to apply
  • Illinois SLP license and PEL (or eligibility)
  • Experience with school-aged children and caseload management
  • Comfortable with IEP documentation and progress reporting
  • Strong skills in collaborating with educators and caregivers
  • Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and technology (for hybrid or virtual assignments)

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students K-8
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Write and update IEPs to support students’ academic and social success
  • Provide engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions in-person and/or through teletherapy
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to foster student progress
  • Maintain thorough, timely records and progress notes
