Make a difference supporting students' communication growth in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time, contracted opportunity spans the entire school year and offers experience working with a diverse range of student ages. The assignment is based near Tinley Park, IL, covering two locations:
- Shabonna Elementary (K-3) with a caseload of 49 students.
- Liberty Intermediate (4-6) and Bourbonnais Upper Grade Center (7-8) with a combined caseload of 53 students.
Ideal candidates will have a passion for helping children and adolescents reach their full potential. Collaborative and engaging, this setting allows you to deliver both on-site and remote therapy services while working alongside dedicated educators and families.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants encouraged to apply
- Illinois SLP license and PEL (or eligibility)
- Experience with school-aged children and caseload management
- Comfortable with IEP documentation and progress reporting
- Strong skills in collaborating with educators and caregivers
- Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and technology (for hybrid or virtual assignments)
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students K-8
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Write and update IEPs to support students’ academic and social success
- Provide engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions in-person and/or through teletherapy
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to foster student progress
- Maintain thorough, timely records and progress notes
