Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant elementary school environment. This full-time, contract opportunity begins November 2nd to provide maternity leave coverage for approximately 6-8 weeks. Each day runs from 9:00 am to 3:50 pm, ensuring a balanced schedule for both you and your students.
Work closely with a diverse caseload of 36 to 42 students, focusing on those with Autistic support needs and life skills development. Your expertise will help these children find their voices and build essential communication tools, making a meaningful difference every single day.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current SLP-CCC certification.
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric and school-based SLP roles.
- Strong background working with students with Autism or in life skills programs preferred.
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Current eligibility for relevant licensure as required in Pennsylvania.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students in elementary grades with Autism and life skills support needs.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing clear and concise documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth.
- Contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and participate in meetings as needed.
- Adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of each student on your caseload.
