Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience working in a school setting is highly valued, but dedicated new graduates with CCCs are welcome
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal development
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students in need of speech-language services
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Deliver therapy through both individual and small group sessions in accordance with IEP objectives
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of student progress and session activities
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate recommendations effectively within the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
