Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting primary and elementary students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. You will provide essential expertise to young learners while mentoring dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistants. This onsite role focuses on impactful evaluation, collaboration, and leadership—direct therapy service is not required.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Prior experience in a school setting with elementary and primary-aged students
- Strong supervision skills to provide meaningful guidance to SLPAs
- Ability to complete thorough speech-language evaluations and documentation
- Comfortable facilitating ARD meetings to ensure student success
- Organized, clear communicator, and collaborative with staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants within assigned campuses
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for a diverse caseload
- Facilitate ARD meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized student needs
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate assessment reports
- Serve as a resource for campus staff and administrators on communication disorders
- No direct therapy sessions—focus remains on evaluation, supervision, and ARD process
This position offers a full-time, 40 hour per week schedule set within a supportive, forward-thinking environment. You'll be placed on-site at primary or elementary campuses where your professional knowledge is highly valued.
