Speech Language Pathologist in Toms River, NJ

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing expert speech and language services to elementary students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. This role starts as soon as possible and extends through mid-June 2027, offering the chance to make a lasting difference in the Toms River, NJ area. Working with resource students, your focus will be on developing articulation and language skills within a supportive elementary setting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• Experience with school-aged populations, especially elementary students, preferred
• Understanding of best practices for articulation and language intervention
• Strong collaborative skills to partner with educators and families
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Responsibilities:

• Plan, conduct, and document individual and group therapy sessions for resource students, targeting articulation and language goals
• Assess speech and language abilities through standardized and informal tools
• Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in team meetings, student evaluations, and parent conferences
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress
• Provide resources and strategies for teachers and caregivers to support carryover of skills
