Make a difference this school year by supporting students’ communication growth as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity begins August 24th and offers a flexible part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week. You’ll provide vital speech and language services to a manageable caseload of 8–10 students in kindergarten through 6th grade, all on-site at a vibrant, supportive campus near Topsham, ME.

Your expertise will empower young learners to achieve their goals while collaborating with dedicated educators and families. You’ll have the chance to bring your creativity and knowledge to individualized therapy plans, monitoring progress and making a real difference in daily communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current (or eligible) state license for Maine
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or consideration for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
  • Prior experience in school-based settings is preferred
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Passion for working with students in K–6th grade

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct intervention for students in a pull-out or push-in (classroom) model
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families for successful student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and comply with all reporting requirements
  • Adapt therapy techniques to meet each student’s unique needs
