Step into a rewarding school-based contract position as a Speech-Language Pathologist, serving students across the LA area. This full-time, onsite role begins August 11, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027. Support a diverse range of students, collaborating closely with case managers at each campus so you can focus on providing high-quality speech and language services.
In this role, be prepared to travel between up to four assigned schools, with an average of two sites per SLP. Caseloads typically range from 55-60 students across various age groups. Recent graduates in Clinical Fellowship (CF) status may be considered, provided supervision is arranged.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language assessment, intervention, and therapy for K-12 students across assigned schools
- Develop individualized treatment plans that address students’ communication needs
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize district-approved assessment materials (reimbursement for assessment supplies available)
- Rotate across campuses and adapt service delivery to meet each site’s unique needs
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders or related field
- Active California Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Valid CTC document (preliminary or clear SLP credential, or Certificate of Clearance)
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred; Clinical Fellows considered with appropriate supervision
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in an itinerant setting
