Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active California state SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous work in a school setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency with IEP documentation and the evaluation process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative approach to working with educators, families, and other specialists
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability within a diverse educational community
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, integrating IEP goals
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and caregivers to reinforce student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions, evaluations, and reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP development and updates
- Offer consultation and support to school staff regarding speech-language best practices
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing special education services
