Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Active California state SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous work in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with IEP documentation and the evaluation process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative approach to working with educators, families, and other specialists
  • Strong organizational abilities and adaptability within a diverse educational community

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, integrating IEP goals
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and caregivers to reinforce student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions, evaluations, and reports
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP development and updates
  • Offer consultation and support to school staff regarding speech-language best practices
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing special education services
