This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) invites an SLP or CFY to make a difference for individuals ranging from kindergarten age up to 22 years. You’ll have the chance to work hands-on with students, particularly those with moderate to severe disabilities, and contribute directly to their growth and success.
Key Duties:
- Plan and deliver targeted speech-language therapy, including assistive technology, augmentative communication, articulation, social/pragmatic language, voice, feeding, and oral-motor skills
- Provide thorough diagnostic and evaluation testing for a broad age range (2 to 22 years)
- Prepare insightful reports summarizing assessment findings and student progress
- Develop IEP objectives addressing individualized student goals and participate actively in meetings
- Collaborate with families and staff, ensuring open communication and unified support for each student’s development
- Embrace flexibility and creative problem-solving in a dynamic school setting
Ideal Background:
- Possess or be eligible for a Delaware SLP license
- Hold the SLP-CCC, be in your CFY, or have strong school-based SLP experience
- Experience with moderate to severe disabilities is highly valued
