Make a meaningful impact on students’ lives by providing essential speech-language services to learners from kindergarten up to age 22. Embrace the opportunity to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) in a contract position supporting students with a variety of communication needs, including those with moderate to severe disabilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering comprehensive speech-language therapy for students with a broad age range and distinct needs.
- Addressing assistive technology, augmentative and alternative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and both receptive and expressive language delays.
- Conducting diagnostic and evaluative testing, then preparing detailed and insightful reports based on observations and assessments.
- Developing and maintaining measurable IEP objectives and tracking student progress over time.
- Collaborating closely with parents, support staff, and colleagues to discuss goals, share developmental updates, and determine appropriate interventions.
- Adapting to the unique challenges of each student while working within a collaborative, supportive team environment.
Ideal qualifications:
- Holds or is eligible to obtain a Delaware state license as an SLP or is completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities is highly valued.
- Strong communicator, positive team player, and adaptable problem solver.
