A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in a school setting from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027. This role supports students by providing speech and language therapy services during the upcoming school year, with the school year commencing on August 6th. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language assessments, evaluations, and therapy to students based on their needs
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans to improve students’ communication skills
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Maintain caseload documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational guidelines
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional insights regarding speech and language development
Qualifications:
- Licensed or credentialed as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with applicable certification (SLP - CCC, SLP - CFY)
- Experience working within school environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders affecting school-age children
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50-55 students effectively
- Flexibility regarding school site assignments within the district
