A rewarding opportunity awaits Speech-Language Pathologists who are passionate about making a genuine impact within a school community. Two contract positions are available—one full-time and one part-time—to serve approximately 30 students, collaborating with dedicated educators and families close to Tracy, CA.
Necessary skills for success in this role include the ability to effectively connect with students and demonstrate expertise in speech and language interventions within educational settings. Candidates with the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) are sought for their advanced knowledge and commitment to student growth.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license in California and current SLP-CCC
- Experience in school-based settings highly preferred
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to establish rapport with diverse student populations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments, classroom observations, and progress monitoring
- Complete all necessary documentation, including progress reports and Individualized Education Program (IEP) paperwork
- Attend and facilitate IEP meetings, as well as participate in Student Study Team (SST) meetings
- Deliver direct speech and language therapies tailored to student needs
- Maintain active communication with educators, administrators, and families
- Perform additional duties as required of a school-based SLP
