Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity runs from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and involves working onsite in a school setting near Trona, CA. Serving in this role, you’ll play a vital part in helping young learners develop essential communication skills—working closely with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to create and carry out effective speech and language interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license and CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Experience working in school settings, ideally at the elementary level
- Strong foundation in speech and language assessment, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Ability to actively engage children, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with students, educators, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students with a wide range of communication disorders
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and create IEP goals tailored to each student’s needs
- Work collaboratively with educators to integrate communication supports into the classroom
- Maintain thorough records of student progress, session notes, and required reports in compliance with school policies
- Offer consultation and resources to teachers and parents to support students’ communication development beyond therapy sessions
