This full-time, onsite contract runs from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, working from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. You’ll manage a diverse caseload across elementary and middle school levels, providing vital speech and language services within a collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active North Carolina SLP license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred; SLP Clinical Fellows (CF) are welcome
- Experience or strong interest in working within school settings (elementary and/or middle school)
- Proven skills in speech, language, and communication disorder assessment and intervention
- Ability to work effectively onsite and communicate well with students, families, and school staff
- Positive, flexible, and solutions-driven attitude
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with varied speech and language needs
- Deliver direct therapeutic interventions based on IEP goals, adapting strategies for both elementary and middle school learners
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents/guardians to ensure comprehensive student support
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations and ethical guidelines
