Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting preschool students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, onsite contract position focuses on delivering vital speech and language services within a school setting located near Glenville, northwest of Schenectady. With a variety of openings, you may choose a start date of either July 27 or September 8, carrying through the new school year.
In this role, you will work with preschool children who have diverse needs, including non-verbal communication, speech improvements, and developmental delays. Your expertise will help set the foundation for each child’s growth in communication and learning.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Active SLP license, with SLP-CCC required
- Previous experience working with preschool and/or pediatric populations, ideally in a school environment
- Solid understanding of a range of communication disorders including non-verbal and developmental delays
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct speech-language therapy
- Manage a diverse preschool caseload with needs such as non-verbal communication and developmental delays
- Collaborate with educational staff and families for holistic student progress
- Maintain accurate records and IEP documentation in compliance with regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
This year-round contract position spans 37.5 hours per week, offering the unique chance to influence children’s early learning journeys. The role is strictly onsite, allowing you to build relationships and provide hands-on support within the school community.
