Embark on a rewarding opportunity to provide crucial speech-language services for a diverse group of students from PreK through 9th grade as part of a dynamic educational setting near Troy, OH. This contract position is ideal for passionate and skilled speech-language pathologists looking for part-time leave coverage, scheduled for three days per week, from 7:50 AM to 3:15 PM.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting students’ communication growth, collaborating closely with educators and families. This assignment welcomes professionals who hold either their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or are completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), with the chance to make a direct, positive impact in school-based practice.

Qualifications and Desired Background:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Valid Ohio state licensure for speech-language pathology
  • Ohio Department of Education teaching certification
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric populations (PreK-9th)
  • Knowledge of school-based SLP services and IEP process
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • CCC credentials or CFY candidates encouraged to apply

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports
  • Consult with classroom teachers, special educators, and parents
  • Advocate for students’ communication needs within the school setting
