Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, or Clinical Fellowship (CF) considered
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to provide both group and individual therapy sessions
- Skilled in maintaining accurate and timely documentation
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and implement therapy plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop personalized IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and participate in student support teams
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to foster student learning and success
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure student achievement
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Provide education and resources to school personnel and families regarding speech and language development
