A contract opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is available for the current school year, serving a K-5 student population at an elementary school in Trussville, AL. This position focuses on delivering speech services to students within the special education program, managing a caseload of 40-60 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech-language therapy and support to students within the special education population.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments, track progress, and maintain documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Support communication development to enhance students’ academic and social success.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Alabama is required.
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings, especially with the special education population, is preferred.
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
